Abstract

This article addresses the main features of the regulation of the regulatory power of the island councils, with special reference to the so-called normative or extensive regulatory power. To this end, the fundamental decisions of the statutory legislator and the coordinates established in the Balearic Law 4/2022, on island councils, are examined. The author particularly analyses the regulatory space assigned to the Government of the Autonomous Community and the power it has to dictate the general normative principles that condition the scope of the island regulations.
