Care services in large urban areas

Abstract

This article analyzes the role that large urban areas are expected to play in the provision of care services. To provide an adequate response to this question, it is necessary to determine, a priori, what is meant by “care”, which actions of current governments can be framed within this concept, as well as which specific benefits and services local authorities must provide to be considered true “caring cities”.
