In Italy, the Province, similarly to Spain, is a local entity that is constitutionally entrenched and composed by the aggrupation of adjacent towns. For the past years, the Province has been one of the local entities to develop more. It has notably increased its political powers, administrative tasks and its political-representative nature. However, the Province does not have a guaranteed future.
