Abstract

This article analyses the temporary disability benefits of public employees of the local administration after the reforms introduced by the Royal Decree-Law 20/2012. Moreover, it exposes general questions regarding the concept of temporary disability in the Social Security regime and their implications to the local administration. Finally, the article mentions several Autonomous Communities that have adapted its legislation to the rules of the Royal Decree-Law 20/2012 regarding cases in which is paid the 100% of the temporary disability benefit and the description of each category that qualify as a benefit during the temporary disability
