Los servicios funerarios en la nueva tipología de servicios municipales

Abstract

This article addresses the recent development of the legal regime of funeral services; particularly the effects of their liberalization since the mid-90s to the present in Catalonia. It also studies the impact of European Union Law in this field, especially the Services Directive and its transposition in Spain, the impact of the competition laws and the concept of service of general economic interest.
