La jurisprudencia del Tribunal Supremo en materia de régimen local

Abstract

The Administrative-Contentious Chamber of the Spanish Supreme Court contains several directives in its case-law that have contributed to the emergence of the notion of local governance as a paradigm of the action of local governments. The institutionalization of the good local government is based on the following elements: the development of the inclusive participation of citizens in the decision-making processes; the strict adherence of municipalities to the rule of law; and the responsible management of the municipal competences which should serve the interests of the local community
