Abstract

The Bureau of Contract Administration –prescriptive or optional depending on the type of public contract– guarantees the general interest, the objectivity and the rule of law in the field of public contracts. It is an assistant body in the phase of the selection of the contractor assessing whether the proposals and offers comply with the established criteria for awarding the contract. The Bureau also makes proposals to the contracting body. For all these reasons it is essential the appropriate composition of the Bureau and its function of requesting a remedy in case of incorrect or incomplete documentation provided by the contractor.
