Jurisprudencia del Tribunal Constitucional referente al régimen local

Abstract

This article analyzes the case-law of the Spanish Constitutional Law on local governments. The articles assesses that the abovementioned case-law has strengthened local autonomy from the political, legal, economic and procedural perspectives; it has established a complex system of distribution of competences between the State and the Autonomous Communities and; it has sparingly emphasized the democratic principle of local governments.
