Questions regarding the right to information in the management of administrative local affairs

Abstract

This article analyzes several particularly tropical questions regarding the management of administrative affairs –emphasizing in particular the local government– and the right to information. The article focuses on administrative transparency as it is framed by the Law on transparency, access to public information and good governance, paying particular attention to the provisions related to local government; data protection in relation to the publication of specific files on Internet; and the “right to forget” on internet in light of the European Directives and the caselaw of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Spanish Audiencia Nacional.
