Abstract

This article pursues to analyze the new developments in the case-law regarding to public procurement, town planning and tax law from the perspective of local governments. The article studies 20 judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Spanish Supreme Court most of them issued in the last 12 months– which show the evolution of the case-law on essential points such as the application and boundaries of European legislation on public procurement (this is an important aspect of the new package of directives of 2014 whose deadline for transposition expires in 2016); the exercise of town planning competences by local governments and the clarification of the concept of tax inspection acts
