The future of intermediate local governments in light of the current circumstances

Abstract

This article analyzes the current situation of intermediate local governments. It also points out the necessity of strengthening this level of government aimed at guaranteeing its capacity of management, taking into account that intermediate local governments should have direct democratic legitimacy and their own competences.
