The growing significance of recycling urban waste water in a context of water scarcity

Abstract

One of the most important challenges of our society is to face the scarcity of water. Inter alia, the reality shows the breakdown of the balance between the supply and the demand of water in many places, altogether with the deterioration of the quality of the water. In this article, I study the techniques to overcome these difficulties, that is, recycling urban waste water to minimize environmental damages. How‑ ever, the development of this technique and, in general, water planning at the local level, present several difficulties that the article pursues to solve.
