Some thoughts in the local sphere about the Spanish Constitutional Court’s case law on the Law on Rationalization and Sustainability of the local administration

Abstract

The Spanish Constitutional Court has progressively addressed the challenges of the Law on Rationalization and Sustainability of the local administration. The initial controversy about this piece of legislation has decreased thanks to the Constitutional Court. The intervention of the Court allows the application of the law with certain legal certainty and this seemed unpredictable five year ago.
